Liverpool vs Tottenham Head to Head
Last Three Meetings
- September 2018 – Tottenham 1-2 Liverpool
- February 2018 – Liverpool 2-2 Tottenham
- October 2017 – Tottenham 4-1 Liverpool
As you can see from the games above, these two have already met once this season, with Liverpool winning that game at Wembley 2-1. The other thing to note is that both teams like to attack and we have seen plenty of goals scored in the meetings between the clubs.
The last time they met at Anfield was last season, and we saw four goals in that game, which was a thrilling 2-2 draw. You have to go back to 2011 to find the last time Tottenham won away at Liverpool, and that is something they will be hoping to change this season.
Liverpool Team News
The Liverpool front line started off the season in electric form, although it has to be said that they have slowed down a little. They look tired at the moment, and that is, of course, a big worry for them as they try to win the league title. With just a handful of games to go, fans will be hoping that players like Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino can dig deep and find a way to rediscover their early season form despite their tired legs, and carry this team to Premier League title.
Tottenham Team News
Tottenham have not signed a player since January 2018, and that is beginning to show on their squad. They also look tired like Liverpool, but key for them is that they don’t really have many options to freshen things up due to their small squad. This was always going to be the toughest challenge that Spurs had to face this season, and it could be tiredness rather than ability that prevents them from finishing the season well.
Liverpool vs Tottenham Match Prediction
This should be an excellent game to watch and if the past results are an indication of what will happen then there is a great chance that we see a lot of goals here. Both teams like to attack, and they will play to win the three points, which is always great to see.
However, both teams look tired as we approach the end of the season, and that could have a big impact on the score. Although Liverpool look tired, they don’t look as tired as Tottenham do, with the small squad that they have right now.
That gives The Reds the advantage here, and I fancy them to take all three points from this game. There is no doubt that these two are both quality teams, both capable of scoring goals, but I feel that Liverpool will just edge this game.
